Paranoia Strikes Deep

Today we encountered a new and horrifying idea--that the slow and insufficient response to New Orleans was not simple incompetence and bureaucracy, that it was deliberate. I know it sounds too crazy but there are so many weird stories in the press, cataloged here:

Why would the Bush administration deliberately let poor black people die?
One fellow wrote:
I think that at the very least, they intentionally let the people suffer. They knew that after 2-4 days with no assitance, there would be mobs of angry black people and that this would be caught on the cameras. Nothing scares white people more than angry black people, so at the very least they would be able to use the reaction of the NO residents as a pretext to institute even more fascist police legislation.
Basically, the Karl Rovian message would be: "give up your rights or the evil black people will get you."

I don't know if this is true, but if it is I think it's going to totally backfire on the rat bastards.

I don't know if it's so much black people as poor people. The Bush admin hates poor people.
